First formation control means 11 causes the image formation unit 2 to form a predetermined first patch. First measurement means 12 measures density of the first patch. First charge amount variation means 13 executes processing (idle rotation of the development part or the like) of varying a charge amount of the developer stored in the development part after formation of the first patch. Second formation control means 14 causes the image formation unit 2 to form a predetermined second patch after execution of the processing. Second measurement means 15 measures density of the second patch. Second charge amount variation means 17 executes charge amount variation processing again on the basis of an index value of magnitude of the variation of the charge amount calculated on the basis of the density of the first patch and the density of the second patch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
【課題】現像剤の帯電量を調整する処理による、帯電量の調整効果を前もって把握して、帯電量の調整のための処理を行う。【解決手段】画像形成装置100は、現像剤を収容し、その現像剤を用いて潜像を現像する現像部を有する画像形成部2を備える。第1形成制御手段11は、予め決められた第1パッチを、画像形成部2に形成させる。第1測定手段12は、第1パッチの濃度を測定する。第1帯電量変動手段13は、第1パッチが形成された後、現像部に収容されている現像剤の帯電量を変動させる処理(現像部の空回転等)を実行する。第2形成制御手段14は、この処理が実行された後、予め決められた第2パッチを、画像形成部2に形成させる。第2測定手段15は、第2パッチの濃度を測定する。第2帯電量変動手段17は、第1パッチの濃度と第2パッチの濃度とに基づき算出された帯電量の変動の大きさの指標値に基づいて、再び帯電量変動処理を実行する。【選択図】図6 |
