BREATHER STRUCTURE OF DIFFERENTIAL UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather structure of a differential unit for decreasing necessity for performing an evaluation test against leakage of lubricant oil from a pulley device for every specification of a ring gear and shape of a differential housing and restraining an increase in development man-hours.SOLUTION: One of right and left drive shafts 13, 14 extending from a differential housing 81 fixed to one of right and left side surfaces of an oil pan 21 installed at an engine 2 in a vehicle width direction is inserted through a through hole 21a arranged at the oil pan 21. A drive shaft supporting bracket 82 having a through hole 82b continuous to the through hole 21a and into which the one drive shaft is inserted at the other side surface of the oil pan 21 is provided with a breather device 90 to cause an inner space X of the differential housing 81 to be communicated with an external space through a passage [a] formed by the through hole 21a of the oil pan 21 and the through hole 82b of the drive shaft supporting bracket 82.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】リングギヤの仕様やデファレンシャルハウジングの形状等毎にブリーザー装置からの潤滑油漏れの評価試験を行う必要性を軽減し、開発工数の増大を抑制するデファレンシャルユニットのブリーザー構造を提供する。【解決手段】エンジン２に備えられたオイルパン２１の左右一方の側面に取り付けられたデファレンシャルハウジング８１から車幅方向に延びる左右のドライブシャフト１３、１４の一方が前記オイルパン２１に備えられた貫通穴２１ａに挿通され、前記オイルパン２１の他方の側面に、前記貫通穴２１ａに連続し、前記一方のドライブシャフトが挿通される貫通穴８２ｂを有するドライブシャフト支持ブラケット８２に、前記デフハウジング８１の内部空間Ｘをオイルパン２１の貫通穴２１ａと、ドライブシャフト支持ブラケット８２の貫通穴８２ｂとでなる通路ａを介して外部空間に連通させるためのブリーザー装置９０を設ける。【選択図】図２
