IMAGE READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to divide a read image into a plurality of images with a simple operation, while preventing an adverse effect on document reading and preventing division positions from being restricted by a document placing position on a document platen.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 comprises an image reading part 11, a display part 42, a touch panel 45 as an input part, and an image processing part 54. The touch panel 45 receives an input of a position designation instruction designating the positions of vertical lines and horizontal lines that divide an image of a scan area displayed on the display part 42 into any plurality of rectangular areas arranged in the vertical and horizontal directions.
