PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer which can guide cooling water to a cylinder head while suppressing resistance to the cooling water.SOLUTION: A spacer which is arranged in a water jacket arranged at a periphery of a cylinder bore of a cylinder block to which a cylinder head is attached comprises: a first guide which is arranged at a face at the cylinder bore side, and inclined toward the cylinder head side from an upstream side to a downstream side of cooling water in the water jacket; and a second guide which is arranged at the cylinder head side rather than the first guide being the face at the cylinder bore side, inclined toward the cylinder head side from the upstream side to the downstream side of the cooling water, and separated from the first guide.
