PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can smoothly perform an operation to open/close an opening/closing door.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a first drive joint part that transmits a rotational driving force to a first rotating body having a rotation shaft; a second drive joint part that transmits a rotational driving force to a second rotating body having a rotation shaft; release means that releases the joint of the first drive joint part and second drive joint part while providing a difference in timing; and an opening/closing door that is rotatably supported to be movable between a closing position for covering an opening in an apparatus body and an opening position for opening the opening.
