PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission capable of automatically changing speed.SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission includes: a main shaft 2; an input member 4 which can rotate about the main shaft 2; an output member 6 which can rotate about the main shaft 2; a traction planet 8 which can rotate about a rotation axis 8a capable of tilting, and transmits power from the input member 4 to the output member 6 at a transmission ratio according to a tilting angle of the rotation axis 8a; a first stator 18 which can change the tilting angle of the rotation axis 8a; and a transmission actuating mechanism which actuates the first stator 18 according to a number N1 of rotations of the input member 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】自動的に変速させることが可能な無段変速機を提供する。【解決手段】主軸２と、主軸２を中心として回転可能な入力部材４と、主軸２を中心として回転可能な出力部材６と、傾動可能な回転軸８ａを中心として回転可能であり、回転軸８ａの傾斜角度に応じた変速比で、入力部材４から出力部材６へと動力を伝達するトラクション遊星８と、回転軸８ａの傾斜角度を変更可能な第一ステータ１８と、入力部材４の回転数Ｎ１に応じて第一ステータ１８を作動させる変速作動機構と、を具備した。【選択図】図１
