END PLATE PERIPHERAL STRUCTURE OF ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise leaked from a clearance between an engine and an end plate, with a simple structure.SOLUTION: Of a rear end part of an engine body 2, at a lower end center part 22 corresponding to a rear end part of a lower side fastening surface 11 fastened to a front end surface 41a of a mission case 41, formed is a projection portion 29 projecting rearward with respect to a rear side fastening surface 11. The rear side fastening surface 11 is formed in a region excluding the projection portion 29, of an outer peripheral portion of the rear end part of the engine body 2. At a lower side of an opening edge 51a of an end plate 5, formed is a recess part 52 recessed downward so as to surround the projection portion.
