Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment grindstone head for a vertical-shaft surface grinding machine in which circulation inhibitors for preventing the circulation of a grinding fluid supplied inside the segment grindstone are mounted in each gap between the adjacent segment grindstones, and thereby grinding powder generated in the grinding is washed away to prevent clogging of grindstones.SOLUTION: A segment grindstone head 2a for a vertical-shaft surface grinding machine includes multiple segment grindstones 3a and a grindstone holder 4a having an annular end 41a where the segment grindstones 3a are mounted. In the segment grindstone head 2a for the vertical-shaft surface grinding machine, respective segment grindstones 3a are mounted respectively while gaps 6a are provided between the adjacent segment grindstones 3a in the annular end 41a of the grindstone holder 4a, a feed port of the grinding fluid is provided inside the segment grindstones 3a in the grindstone holder 4a, and a workpiece with a ground surface wider than the bottom surface of the grindstone head 3a in a plan view of the grindstone head 3a is ground. Circulation inhibitors 7a for preventing the circulation of the grinding fluid are mounted in respective gaps 6a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】隣合うセグメント砥石の間の各間隙に、セグメント砥石の内方に供給された研削液の流通を妨げる流通阻害物が取付けられて、研削時に発生する研削粉を洗い流して砥石の目詰まりを防止するようにした立軸平面研削盤用のセグメント砥石ヘッドである。【解決手段】立軸平面研削盤用のセグメント砥石ヘッド2aは、複数のセグメント砥石3aと、セグメント砥石3aが取付けられる円環状端部41aを有する砥石ホルダ4aとを備え、各セグメント砥石3aは砥石ホルダ4aの円環状端部41aにおける隣合うセグメント砥石3aの間に間隙6aが設けられた状態でそれぞれ取付けられ、砥石ホルダ4aにおけるセグメント砥石3aの内方に研削液の供給口が設けられ、砥石ヘッド3aの平面視における砥石ヘッド3aの底面よりも広い被研削面を備えたワークが研削される立軸平面研削盤用のセグメント砥石ヘッド2aにおいて、各間隙6aに、研削液の流通を妨げる流通阻害物7aが取付けられているものである。【選択図】図2
