PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device which makes it easy for an operator who looks at a captured image to grasp the route of a vehicle for an example.SOLUTION: A periphery monitoring device according to embodiment comprises: an imaging part which is provided so as to be able to image the periphery of a vehicle; a correction part which executes a correction process of straightening a line combining two points within a partial line that is a portion distorted due to the characteristics of a lens provided in the imaging part, in a heading line which is included in a captured image obtained by the imaging part and expresses a heading route of the vehicle; and a display part which displays the captured image including a heading line subjected to the correction process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】一例として、撮像画像を見た運転者が車両の経路を把握し易くする監視装置を提供する。【解決手段】実施形態にかかる周辺監視装置は、車両の周囲を撮像可能に設けられる撮像部と、撮像部の撮像により得られる撮像画像に含まれかつ車両が進行する経路を表す進行線において、撮像部が有するレンズの特性により歪んだ部分である部分線内の２点を結ぶ線を直線化する補正処理を実行する補正部と、補正処理後の進行線を含む撮像画像を表示する表示部と、を備える。【選択図】図１
