Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording liquid which is suitable for an inkjet recording method, containing a low molecular weight organic compound that forms metallic luster crystals, and by which a recorded matter having metallic luster can be formed without causing settlement during storage or clogging at a nozzle head and irrespective of the kind of the recording medium.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a recording liquid is provided in which a specific azobenzene compound is dissolved in a specific organic solvent. The specific azobenzene compound is a compound represented by the following general formula (I), the specific organic solvent is an organic solvent having an SP value of from 9 to 14 or a volatile organic solvent. (In the general formula (I), R represents an alkyl group or a cycloalkyl group, where the alkyl group or the cycloalky group may have a substituent.)SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】金属光沢結晶を形成する低分子有機化合物を含有するインクジェット記録方式に適した記録液であって、貯蔵時の沈降やヘッドノズルでの目詰まりを生じることなく、且つ、記録媒体の種類によらずに金属光沢を有する記録物を形成することが可能な記録液を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の一形態により、特定のアゾベンゼン化合物が特定の有機溶剤に溶解している記録液が提供される。上記特定のアゾベンゼン化合物は、下記一般式（Ｉ）で表される化合物であり、上記特定の有機溶剤は、ＳＰ値が９〜１４の有機溶剤又は揮発性有機溶剤である。（一般式（Ｉ）中、Ｒは、アルキル基又はシクロアルキル基を表し、前記アルキル基及び前記シクロアルキル基は置換基を有していてもよい。）【化１】【選択図】なし
