Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic grinding device capable of automatically starting grinding processing by simple operation without performing teaching operation or the like by an operator.SOLUTION: An automatic grinding device includes first detecting means 21 for detecting a position of a workpiece W in a cutting direction by a grindstone 10, second detecting means 24 for detecting a position of the workpiece W in a feed direction perpendicular to the cutting direction, and third detecting means 25 for detecting a position of the grindstone 10. A control device calculates an area where the grindstone 10 and supporting means 12 are relatively moved, based on positional information of the workpiece W and the grindstone 10 detected by the first detecting means 21, the second detecting means 24, and the third detecting means 25 before starting processing by the grindstone 10, and automatically starts the processing by the grindstone 10. Consequently, eliminated is the necessity of performing teaching operation setting the area where the grindstone 10 and the workpiece W are relatively moved, whereby a burden on an operator can be reduced to improve work efficiency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】作業者がティーチング作業等を行うことなく、簡単な操作で自動的に研削加工を開始することができる自動研削装置を提供する。【解決手段】といし10による切り込み方向のワークWの位置を検出する第1の検出手段21と、切り込み方向に垂直な送り方向のワークWの位置を検出する第2の検出手段24と、といし10の位置を検出する第3の検出手段25と、を有し、制御装置は、といし10による加工を開始する前に第1の検出手段21、第2の検出手段24及び第3の検出手段25によって検出されるワークW及びといし10の位置情報に基づいてといし10及び支持手段12を相対移動させる範囲を演算し、といし10による加工を自動で開始する。これにより、といし10とワークWを相対移動させる範囲等を設定するティーチング作業を行う必要が無くなるため、作業者の負担を減らし作業効率を高めることができる。【選択図】図2
