PASSENGER CONVEYOR AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING PASSENGER CONVEYOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor that is configured so that a plurality of inner holding members 11 can be installed in an upper frame body 8 of a handrail even after the upper frame body 8 of a handrail is fixed to an upper part of a handrail panel 4A, and a method for assembling a passenger conveyor.SOLUTION: An inner holding member 11 has a shape in which a pair of sandwiched parts 12 which are sandwiched between upper end parts of a handrail panel 4A and a pair of light source holding parts 13 holding a light source storing body 14 are integrally constituted of wire having elasticity. An interval between the pair of sandwiched parts 12 is smaller than an interval between the upper end parts of the handrail panel 4A and an upper frame body 8 of a handrail, and the pair of sandwiched parts 12 cross the handrail panel 4A at angles 27 between 80 degrees and 100 degrees when viewed from above while being sandwiched between the upper end parts of the handrail panel 4A.
