MEDIUM TRANSACTION APPARATUS AND MEDIUM STORAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a medium from being illegally taken out of a medium storage while simply configuring the medium storage attachable to and detachable from a main body part.SOLUTION: A bill paying machine 1 has a bill bundle detection part 60 composed of a light emission part 61 and a light reception part 62 fitted to a rear guide 24 of a bundle conveyance unit 3, and a prism 63 fitted to a first guide surface 41 of a reject cassette 17, optical axes X1 and X2 being located downstream from a virtual shortest arc CS (Fig.5). Consequently, the bill paying machine 1 although having the reject cassette 17 to be attached and detached simply configured can securely detect a bill bundle W in a closure abnormal standby state being present, namely, a bill bundle W possible to be caught with the first guide surface 41 when a shutter 45 is closed being present, and can urge maintenance work.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】本体部に対し着脱可能な媒体収納庫を簡素に構成しながら、該媒体収納庫から媒体が不正に取り出されることを未然に防止し得るようにする。【解決手段】紙幣出金機１では、束搬送ユニット３の後部ガイド２４に取り付けた発光部６１及び受光部６２と、リジェクトカセット１７の第１ガイド面４１に取り付けたプリズム６３とにより紙幣束検知部６０を構成し、その光軸Ｘ１及びＸ２を仮想的な最短円弧ＣＳよりも下流側に位置させるようにした（図５）。これにより紙幣出金機１では、着脱されるリジェクトカセット１７を簡素な構成としながら、閉塞異常予備状態の紙幣束Ｗ、すなわちシャッタ４５の閉塞時に第１ガイド面４１との間に挟まれる恐れがある紙幣束Ｗの存在を確実に検知でき、保守作業の実施を促すことができる。【選択図】図５
