Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for measuring an outermost dimension of a vehicle, which is arranged in an inspection station and includes appearance surfaces comprising an upper surface, a front surface, a back surface and a side surface.SOLUTION: A system is configured such that in an inspection station, a plurality of 3-D sensors or depth sensors are supported around or above a vehicle. Each sensor has a field of view so that one appearance surface of the vehicle is included in the field of view. Each sensor is configured to detect reflection from an appearance surface irradiated with radiation, to obtain sensor data. At least one processor is configured to process the sensor data obtained from each sensor, to obtain a 3-D model of the vehicle. With a control logic, a measurement result of an outermost dimension of the vehicle is obtained based on the 3-D model.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
