PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing to a plurality of recording media in one time of printing.SOLUTION: A printer 100 includes: a platen 25 on which a first recording medium 5a and a second recording medium 5b are placed; an ink head 40; a position detection mechanism 43 which detects the first position of the first recording medium 5a with respect to the platen 25 and the second position of the second recording medium 5b with respect to the platen 25; and a control device 60.
