Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel superconducting material that is inexpensive and can be produced simply as compared with existing superconducting materials, and a method of producing the same.SOLUTION: A superconducting material is predominantly composed of β-FeSi, and potassium. A method for producing a superconducting material has an encapsulating step to encapsulate raw material containing iron or iron oxide, silicon or silicon oxide, and potassium in a container, and a heating step to heat the raw material encapsulated in the container up to a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of potassium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】 既に存在している超伝導物質に比べて安価であり、且つ簡単に製造することができる新規な超伝導物質及びその製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】 β−FeSi2と、カリウムとを主成分とする超伝導物質とする。また、容器内に、鉄又は酸化鉄と、ケイ素又は酸化ケイ素と、カリウムとを含む原料を封入する封入工程と、前記容器内に封入された原料を、カリウムの融点以上の温度に加熱する加熱工程と、を含む、超伝導物質の製造方法とする。【選択図】 図3
