APPARATUS, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR IMAGE PROCESSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increased data transfer amount in a transmission line between a transmission-side image processing apparatus and a reception-side image processing apparatus.SOLUTION: The transmission-side image processing apparatus includes: a division unit which divides an image into a plurality of frequency bands to generate divided data; a coding unit which codes the divided data to generate coding data, for each of the plurality of frequency bands; a selection unit which, in response to a change request, which requests to change image quality, from a reception-side image processing apparatus, selects a frequency band, associated with the image quality requested by the change request, from a high frequency band, which is higher than a predetermined frequency band, among the plurality of frequency bands; and a transmitter unit which transmits the coding data of the frequency band selected by the selection unit to the reception-side image processing apparatus, when the selection unit receives the change request after the coding data of a low frequency band, which is lower than the high frequency band, is transmitted to the reception-side image processing apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 送信側の画像処理装置と受信側の画像処理装置との間の伝送路におけるデータ転送量の増加を抑制する。【解決手段】 送信側の画像処理装置は、画像を複数の周波数帯域に分割して分割データを生成する分割部と、複数の周波数帯域毎に、分割データを符号化して符号化データを生成する符号化部と、受信側の画像処理装置からの画質の変更を要求する変更要求に応答して、複数の周波数帯域のうち、所定の周波数帯域より高い高周波数帯域から、変更要求により要求された画質に対応する周波数帯域を選択する選択部と、高周波数帯域より低い低周波数帯域の符号化データが受信側の画像処理装置に送信された後に、選択部が変更要求を受けた場合、選択部により選択された周波数帯域の符号化データを受信側の画像処理装置に送信する送信部とを有する。【選択図】 図１
