PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic fiber reinforcing agent which improves a strength of a synthetic fiber product, can prevent a run, and is also excellent in use feeling after reinforcement, and to provide a method for reinforcing a synthetic fiber product.SOLUTION: A synthetic fiber reinforcing agent contains a polyurethane-based resin, an acrylic resin and a solvent, where an amount of the polyurethane-based resin to be blended is 0.050 mass% or more and 10.0 mass% or less, an amount of the acrylic resin to be blended is 0.0050 mass% or more and 5.0 mass% or less, and an amount of the solvent to be blended is 85.0 mass% or more and 99.945 mass% or less. The solvent is preferably ethanol. When the amount of the polyurethane-based resin to be blended is represented by A [mass%] and the amount of the acrylic resin to be blended is represented by B [mass%], the synthetic fiber reinforcing agent preferably satisfies a relationship of 0.01≤A/B≤2,000.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】 合成繊維製品の強度を向上させ、伝線を防止することができ、補強後の使用感にも優れた合成繊維補強剤および合成繊維製品の補強方法を提供すること。【解決手段】 本発明の合成繊維補強剤は、ポリウレタン系樹脂と、アクリル系樹脂と、溶剤と、を含み、前記ポリウレタン系樹脂の配合量が、０．０５０質量％以上１０．０質量％以下、前記アクリル系樹脂の配合量が、０．００５０質量％以上５．０質量％以下、前記溶剤の配合量が、８５．０質量％以上９９．９４５質量％以下であることを特徴とする。溶剤は、エタノールであることが好ましい。また、前記ポリウレタン系樹脂の配合量をＡ［質量％］、前記アクリル系樹脂の配合量をＢ［質量％］としたとき、０．０１≦Ａ／Ｂ≦２０００の関係を満足することが好ましい。【選択図】なし
