PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client device capable of smoothly reproducing a changed content, even when a required content is changed, without putting pressure on bands of a network.SOLUTION: A client device comprises: means for successively acquiring and reproducing segments of contents selected by a user; means for determining a first time in which a second segment should be completely acquired, in order to reproduce the second segment of a second content after reproduction completion of a first segment during reproduction of a first content when the user selects the second content during the reproduction of the first content; and means for discriminating whether the second segment can be received until the first time, based on reception times of one or more acquired segments.
