PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loads for monitoring human errors at the time of reloading a paper, in printing on one side of the paper having the other side already printed more than loads for monitoring human errors by visual observation.SOLUTION: A bar code 40BC together with a main image are printed on a tip part and a rear end part in a conveying direction of a paper P. The bar code 40BC includes at least first information for identifying whether the main image is printed on a front side or a back side of the paper, where at least either one of information (second information) for identifying received image data and information (third information) for identifying whether a head or a tail end of the main image is printed on the paper P may be added to first information. For the first information, presence of the bar code 40BC can serve as identification information, and therefore printing on the back side of the paper is judged to be improper unless the bar code 40BC is read out. Even when the bar code 40BC is read out, it can be determined whether or not the paper P is mixed up on the basis of the second information and it can be determined whether unwinding of the paper is forgotten about, based on the third information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】一方の面に印刷済の用紙の他方の面に印刷する場合の用紙の再装填時の人為的ミスの監視を、目視判断による監視よりも軽減する。【解決手段】用紙Ｐの搬送方向先端部及び後端部に、主画像とは別にバーコード４０ＢＣを印刷する。バーコード４０ＢＣは、少なくとも、主画像を印刷するときの表面側か裏面側かを識別する第１情報を含み、受け付けた画像データを識別する情報（第２情報）、及び、用紙Ｐに印刷した主画像の先頭か最後尾かを識別する情報（第３情報）の少なくとも一方が付加される場合がある。第１情報は、バーコード４０ＢＣの存在そのものが識別情報となり得、裏面印刷の際に、バーコード４０ＢＣを認識しない場合は不適正となる。また、バーコード４０ＢＣを読み取ったとしても、第２情報によって、用紙Ｐの取り違いがあったか否かを判定し、第３情報によって、巻き戻しのし忘れを判定し得る。【選択図】図１
