PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V type engine capable of sharing a cylinder head besides it is possible to adjust the amount of oil to the hydraulic oil passage of a valve operation change mechanism and the lubrication oil passage of a valve gear.SOLUTION: A front cylinder head 4F and a rear cylinder head 4R are composed of a shared cylinder head 60 whose cylinder bank directions are opposite to each other. At both ends of respective cylinder bank directions of the front cylinder head 4F and the rear cylinder head 4R, a plurality of distribution oil passages 47 for distributing oil to a valve operation changing mechanisms (23 and 24) are formed so as to open to the upper surface, the valve operation changing mechanisms being for changing at least one lift operation of the front valve gear 21F, the rear valve gear 21R, or the intake and exhaust valve 17 by hydraulic drive from the main gallery 46.
