RECORDING DEVICE AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that joining portions of an encoder scale are read out with an encoder sensor, so that printing timing signals to be generated fluctuate and cause image uneveness and color slurring.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a rotating body having a plurality of recording areas provided on a circumference thereof; a recording head for discharging recording agents onto the plurality of recording areas; a linear encoder scale which is provided along a rotation direction in the rotating body and has slits; a plurality of encoder sensors, provided at different positions in the rotation direction of the linear encoder scale, which detect the slits of the linear encoder scale; and adjusting means that adjusts timing for discharging the agents from the recording head using detected results by the plurality of encoder sensors.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】エンコーダスケールのつなぎ部分をエンコーダセンサで読み込むことによって、生成される印刷タイミング信号がばたつき画像ムラ及び色間のズレが生じてしまう。【解決手段】記録装置であって、周上に複数の記録領域が設けられた回転体と、前記複数の記録領域に記録剤を吐出する記録ヘッドと、前記回転体に回転方向に沿って設けられ、スリットを有するリニアエンコーダスケールと、前記リニアエンコーダスケールの前記回転方向において異なる位置に設けられ、前記リニアエンコーダスケールのスリットを検知するための複数のエンコーダセンサと、前記複数のエンコーダセンサの検知結果を用いて、前記記録ヘッドからの吐出タイミングを調整する調整手段と、を有する。【選択図】 図２
