Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a faucet device which has achieved excellent low power consumption, while suppressing erroneous water discharge due to specular reflection.SOLUTION: A faucet device includes: a water discharge part having a water discharge port; a water supply passage for guiding water to the water discharge port from a water supply source; an opening/closing valve for opening/closing the water supply passage; a transmission part for transmitting an optical signal; a receiving part for outputting a reception signal corresponding to a reflection signal of the optical signal; and a control part for detecting presence/absence of an object on the basis of the reception signal, and for controlling opening/closing of the opening/closing valve. The transmission part has a projection element for projecting non-polarizing light, and a polarization conversion element for converting the non-polarizing light into first polarization light, and transmits the optical signal of the first polarization light. The receiving part has a polarization member which blocks second polarization light formed by the first polarization light performing specular reflection out of the light included in the reflection signal, and allows third polarization light different from the second polarization light to transmit, and a light receiving element for receiving the third polarization light which has transmitted through the polarization member, and outputs the reception signal corresponding to the light receiving amount of the light receiving element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】鏡面反射による誤吐水を抑制しつつ、低消費電力化に優れた水栓装置を提供する。【解決手段】吐水口を有する吐水部と、給水源から吐水口に水を導く給水路と、給水路を開閉する開閉弁と、光信号を送信する送信部と、光信号の反射信号に対応した受信信号を出力する受信部と、受信信号を基に対象物の有無を検出し、開閉弁の開閉を制御する制御部と、を備え、送信部は、非偏光の光を投光する投光素子と、非偏光の光を第1偏光の光に変換する偏光変換素子と、を有し、第1偏光の光の光信号を送信し、受信部は、反射信号に含まれる光のうち、第1偏光の光が鏡面反射することで形成された第2偏光の光を遮断し、第2偏光と異なる第3偏光の光を透過させる偏光部材と、偏光部材を透過した第3偏光の光を受光する受光素子と、を有し、受光素子の受光量に対応した受信信号を出力することを特徴とする水栓装置である。【選択図】図2 |
