PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic manual display method and an electronic manual controller, capable of improving work efficiency for failure diagnosis.SOLUTION: An electronic manual controller 36 is configured to display an inspection work selection screen 100 for collectively displaying, for each DTC, a failure brief display region 114 configured to display a brief of failure corresponding to DTC, a detection range display region 116 configured to graphically display a detection range of DTC, and an inspection portion display region 118 configured to sort an inspection work item within the detection range associated with DTC to a minimum work item and selectively displaying it as options 158a-158d.
