Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which is excellent in processability and is excellent in low fuel consumption performance and abrasion resistance when formed into a tire.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a tire contains a diene rubber, silica, and a cationic surfactant. The silica has a CTAB adsorption specific surface area of 115-300 m/g. The cationic surfactant is a quaternary ammonium salt having a carboxylic acid ester bond. The content of the silica is 50-200 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the diene rubber.
