Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling method of stable quality that suppresses scattering between lots caused by seasonal changes or the like while keeping uniform cooling ability.SOLUTION: A production method of physically strengthened glass that generates a surface compressive stress on the surface of glass includes a step for heating the glass to a specified temperature, a quick cooling step for cooling the glass heated to the specified temperature by blowing the glass with blower air supplied by a blower and compressed air supplied by a compressor, and a cooling step for further cooling the glass to an ambient temperature by at least the blower air. The production method further includes a first cooling step for cooling the compressed air to a first specified temperature and a second cooling step for further cooling the compressed air cooled to a first specified temperature in the first cooling step to a second specified temperature for dehumidification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】均一な急冷能力を確保しつつ季節の変化などによるロット間バラツキを抑制し、品質が安定した冷却方法を提供する。【解決手段】ガラスを所定温度に加熱する工程と、前記所定温度に加熱したガラスに、ブロワーから供給されるブロワーエアとコンプレッサーで生成した圧縮エアを吹き付けて冷却する急冷工程と、急冷工程に続きガラスを少なくともブロワーエアで外気温度までさらに冷却する冷却工程とを有し、前記ガラスの表面に表面圧縮応力を生成する物理強化ガラスの製造方法であって、前記圧縮エアを第1の所定温度まで冷却する第1の冷却工程と、第1の冷却工程で前記第1の所定温度に冷却した圧縮エアを、除湿のためにさらに第2の所定温度まで冷却する第2の冷却工程とを有する。【選択図】 図1
