Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drawing a glass preform, capable of suppressing the bend of a glass preform after drawing when heating and drawing the glass preform by a heating element.SOLUTION: A method for inserting a glass preform G1 into a drawing furnace 10 including a ring shaped heater 14, holding the upper and lower ends of the glass preform G1 and drawing the glass preform G1 comprises: the position measuring step of continuously measuring glass preform positions in at least two directions orthogonal to a central axis C1 in the drawing direction of a drawn glass preform G2 in the vicinity of the outside of the lower end of the drawing furnace 10; the deviation calculation step of calculating the deviation of the central axis C1 of the drawn glass preform G2 to the central axis C0 of the heater 14 by the glass preform positions measured in the position measuring step; and the control step of controlling an amount of the deviation so as to be a predetermined value by at least one control of position control in a direction orthogonal to the central axis C1 of the drawn glass preform G2, drawing speed control of the glass preform G1 and heating temperature control by the heater 14 on the basis of the results calculated in the deviation calculation step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】ガラス母材を発熱体によって加熱して延伸する際に、延伸後のガラス母材の曲がりを抑制することが可能なガラス母材の延伸方法を提供する。【解決手段】リング状のヒータ14を備える延伸炉10内にガラス母材G1を挿入し、ガラス母材G1の上端及び下端を把持してガラス母材G1を延伸する方法であって、延伸炉10下端の外部近傍で、延伸ガラス母材G2の延伸方向の中心軸C1に直交する少なくとも二方向のガラス母材位置を連続的に測定する位置測定工程と、位置測定工程で測定されたガラス母材位置により、ヒータ14の中心軸C0に対する延伸ガラス母材G2の中心軸C1のずれを算出するずれ算出工程と、ずれ算出工程で算出された結果に基づき、延伸ガラス母材G2の中心軸C1と直交する方向の位置調整、ガラス母材G1の延伸速度調整、ヒータ14による加熱温度調整、の少なくともいずれか一つの調整により前記ずれの量を所定の値とするように調整する調整工程と、を有する。【選択図】図1 |
