PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a manufacturing process of a display device.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a display device includes the steps of: forming a terminal electrode in a terminal portion of a first substrate; forming a pixel electrode correspondingly to each pixel in a pixel portion of the first substrate; forming a first intermediate layer in a region, of the terminal portion, including the terminal electrode; forming an organic layer on the pixel electrode in the pixel portion; forming a counter electrode layer in a portion on the first substrate that includes the pixel portion and the terminal portion; forming a passivation layer on the counter electrode layer; arranging a second substrate so as to face the pixel portion, and then attaching the first substrate to the second substrate by a sealing material surrounding the pixel portion; and removing the first intermediate layer, the counter electrode layer and the passivation layer in the terminal portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】表示装置の製造工程を簡略化させることを目的の一つとする。【解決手段】第１基板の端子部に端子電極を形成し、第１基板の画素部に各画素に対応して画素電極を形成し、端子部の端子電極を含む領域に第１の中間層を形成し、画素部において画素電極上に有機層を形成し、画素部及び端子部を含む第１基板上に対向電極層を形成し、対向電極層上にパッシベーション層を形成し、画素部に対向して第２基板を配置し、第１基板と第２基板とを画素部を囲むシール材により貼り合わせ、端子部において、第１の中間層、対向電極層及びパッシベーション層を除去することを含む。【選択図】図２
