Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of unpleasant sound, such as gear striking, resulting from a decrease in drive force, while allowing engine rotation stop control during travel in which travel resistance is high.SOLUTION: When a travel resistance is high (YES in determination in S4), a drive force TPSTP when engine rotation stop control is performed is estimated. If the estimated drive force TPSTP is within a predetermined limited range (YES in determination in S6), engine intermittent control is inhibited (S7). Therefore, if drive force suddenly decreases due to, for example, an operation for accelerator return, and the torque of the second motor generator MG2 decreases to near or equal to or below 0, the intermittent control is inhibited before the actual engine intermittent control is exerted, making it possible to appropriately inhibit occurrence of unpleasant sound such as gear striking.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】走行抵抗が大きい走行時におけるエンジンの回転停止制御を許容しつつ、駆動力の低下に起因して歯打ち音等の異音が発生することを抑制する。【解決手段】走行抵抗が大きい場合(S4の判断がYES)には、エンジンの回転停止制御が実行される際の駆動力TPSTPを推定し、その推定駆動力TPSTPが予め定められた制限範囲内である時(S6の判断がYES)には、エンジン間欠制御の実行が禁止される(S7)。このため、アクセルの戻し操作等によって駆動力が急減し、第2モータジェネレータMG2のトルクが0付近以下まで低下するような場合には、実際にエンジンの間欠制御が実行される前にその間欠制御が禁止され、歯打ち音等の異音が発生することを適切に抑制することができる。【選択図】図2
