PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which has excellent absorption performance and which has preferable wearing feeling during a movement of a wearer.SOLUTION: An absorbent article contains a surface sheet formed of a nonwoven fabric, and comprises a longitudinal direction center area, a longitudinal direction first area, and a longitudinal direction second area in plane view. The surface sheet is configured so that a fluffing amount of fibers forming the nonwoven fabric on the longitudinal direction center area is larger than that on longitudinal direction end part areas formed of the longitudinal direction first area and the longitudinal direction second area.
