TERMINAL FITTING AND INSULATED WIRE WITH TERMINAL FITTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting which allows for electrical and mechanical connection of the connection side end of an insulated wire with the terminal fitting, without removing the insulation coating of the insulated wire on the connection side end.SOLUTION: A terminal fitting 1 includes a terminal connection part 2 for connection with the mating side terminal fitting, and a wire holding part 3 provided in the rear of the terminal connection part 2, and holding an insulated wire 100, having a core wire covered with an insulation coating, in pressure contact state. The wire holding part 3 includes a bottom wall 31 where the insulated wire 100 is placed, a first insulated wire caulking part 32 continuous to one side edge of the bottom wall 31, and a second insulated wire caulking part 33 continuous to the other side edge of the bottom wall 31.
