PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a conversion efficiency for the inputted characters, while securing a high security.SOLUTION: Information terminal 1 includes a character conversion part 10. The character conversion part 10 is connected to a standard dictionary 31 and a user dictionary 32 stored with conversion candidates of characters, respectively. The character conversion part 10 includes: a character conversion I/F 12; an external candidate acquisition part 13; and a dictionary registration part 15. The character conversion I/F 12 transmits a conversion candidate request data for requesting an external conversion candidate of the characters to the outside, and receives conversion candidate response data for the conversion candidate request data from the outside. An external candidate acquisition part 31 acquires the external conversion candidate from the conversion candidate response data.
