Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for measuring dimensions of objects on a pallet to be transferred by forklift trucks moving within a measurement area.SOLUTION: A system comprises a plurality of scanners, in which the plurality scanners includes: at least a first scanner 201 to be arranged on a first side of a measurement area; and at least a second scanner 202 to be arranged so as to face the first scanner on an opposite side of the first side of the measurement area. The first scanner and second scanner are configured to: form a dual head scanner device; and acquire dimensions of an object. Further, the system comprises a third scanner 203 that is arranged on the first side of the measurement area, and is directed parallely with the first scanner. The first scanner and third scanner are configured to acquire a velocity and direction of the object. An arrangement of the first and second scanners is configured to define a width of the measurement area where the object to be dimensionally measured is movable, and an arrangement of the first and third scanners is configured to define a length of the measurement area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
