Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit device that can accurately detect a voltage signal based on an output current from a light receiving element.SOLUTION: A PD output detection part as a circuit device comprises: a waveform processing circuit that generates undershoot in a voltage signal (light receiving signal) based on an output current from a light receiving element (PD 42 for time measurement); and a signal processing circuit 80 that binarizes the voltage signal in which undershoot has been generated with a plurality of thresholds. The plurality of thresholds include a first threshold (threshold 1) larger than a reference level and a second threshold (threshold 2) smaller than the reference level.
