Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft end coating method of a cylindrical body which can easily form a proper grip shape for peeling off a thermal contraction film attached to a shaft end of the cylindrical body.SOLUTION: The shaft end coating method of a cylindrical body comprises: a film coating process for coating a shaft end 2a of the cylindrical body with a thermal contraction film 10; a coil arrangement process for arranging an induction heating coil 13 so as to surround an external peripheral part 10b of the thermal contraction film which is coated in the film coating process and an external peripheral wall 8 of the shaft end of the cylindrical body; and a film attachment process for induction-heating the external peripheral wall of the shaft end of the cylindrical body by the supply of an AC current to the induction heating coil which is arranged in the coil arrangement process, contracting the external peripheral part of the thermal contraction film by the heat transmission of the induction heating, and attaching the thermal contraction film to the shaft end of the cylindrical body. In the coil arrangement process, the induction heating coil is arranged at a side progressing toward an end face of the shaft end of the cylindrical body rather than a tip side of the external peripheral part of the thermal contraction film which covers an external peripheral wall in an axial direction of the cylindrical body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】筒状体の軸端部に装着された熱収縮フィルムに引き剥がすための適当な摘み形状を容易に形成できる筒状体の軸端部被覆方法を提供する。【解決手段】本筒状体の軸端部被覆方法は、筒状体の軸端部2aに熱収縮フィルム10を被せるフィルム被せ工程と、フィルム被せ工程で被せられた熱収縮フィルムの外周部10bと筒状体の軸端部の外周壁8とを囲むように誘導加熱用コイル13を配置するコイル配置工程と、コイル配置工程で配置された誘導加熱用コイルへの交流電流の供給により筒状体の軸端部の外周壁を誘導加熱させ、その誘導加熱の伝熱により熱収縮フィルムの外周部を収縮させて筒状体の軸端部に熱収縮フィルムを装着するフィルム装着工程と、を備える。そして、コイル配置工程では、誘導加熱用コイルは、筒状体の軸方向において、外周壁を覆う熱収縮フィルムの外周部の先端側よりも筒状体の軸端部の端面に向かう側に配置される。【選択図】図2
