IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology advantageous for determining, in a shorter time, whether a toner storage container (toner bottle) has been replaced in an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (MFP), when the possibility arises that a toner bottle has been replaced by a user after determining the absence of toner in a developing unit (YES in S103), executes an operation to supply a toner from the toner bottle to the developing unit (S105).
