PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector that accurately measures the temperature of light modulators to perform appropriate control according to the temperature and display an image with good quality.SOLUTION: There is provided a projector comprising: a light source; a plurality of light modulators that modulate light from the light source to form image light; a light combining device that combines the plurality of rays of image light; a projection optical system that projects the light modulated by the light modulators; and temperature measuring parts attached to the light modulators.
