PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an opening/closing section opening/closing an upper portion of a recording mechanism section from the recording mechanism section with easy workability.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a recording mechanism section comprising recording means performing recording on a medium to be recorded; an opening/closing section being coupled to the recording mechanism section in a rotatable manner at an upper portion of the recording mechanism section and opening/closing the upper portion of the recording mechanism section by being rotated; a screen section maintaining an open state of the opening/closing section; a first connection section connecting one end side of the screen section to the opening/closing section; and a second connection section connecting the other end side of the screen section to the recording mechanism section. At least any of the first connection section and the second connection section is exposed laterally with respect to the device in a close state of the opening/closing section.
