PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can control to optimize a secondary transfer voltage in printing on a continuous medium even when the value of resistance of the secondary transfer roller is changed.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus comprising: transfer means that includes a conductive roller member having a conductive elastic body provided on the outer periphery of a shaft and transfers developer images formed on image carriers to a recording medium on the basis of a transfer voltage applied thereto; voltage application means that applies the transfer voltage to the transfer means; voltage control means that controls the transfer voltage to be applied to the transfer means by the voltage application means; and temperature measuring means that measures the temperature of the shaft of the conductive roller member.
