BASE ISOLATION STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation structure which gets rid of incongruity on appearance and reliably supports an overhanging member.SOLUTION: A base isolation structure includes a base isolation device between an upper structure and a lower structure and is configured such that the upper structure and the lower structure are relatively displaced in the horizontal direction. Therein, on the lower structure, a wall part vertically arranged at an interval of a predetermined distance in the horizontal direction from a lateral part of the upper part structure and a horizontal part extended in the horizontal direction from the upper end of the wall part are provided. The base isolation structure further includes an overhang member of which the tip springs out in the horizontal direction from the upper structure and the base end is joined to the upper structure and a support body which is provided on a lower surface of the overhang member and supports the overhang member between the horizontal part of the lower structure and the support body.
