Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereo camera system capable of accurately calculating a distance between a moving body detected in a monocular region and the same even when the height of road surface is different in a duplicate area and in the monocular region.SOLUTION: Disclosed stereo camera system includes: a parallax information acquisition section that acquires a piece of parallax information in a duplicate area in a plurality of images picked up by a plurality of cameras mounted on a vehicle; and an object distance calculation section that calculates the distance between an object which is detected in unduplicated area other than the duplicate area in the images based on a piece of parallax information previously acquired in the duplicate area and the vehicles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】本発明は、重複領域と単眼領域の路面の高さが異なる場合でも、単眼領域で検出される移動体の距離を高い精度で算出することができることを目的とする。【解決手段】本発明は、車両に搭載された複数のカメラで撮影した複数の画像の重複領域の視差情報を取得する視差情報取得部と、前記重複領域で過去に取得された視差情報に基づいて、前記各画像中の前記重複領域以外の非重複領域で検出される物体と前記車両との距離を算出する物体距離算出部と、を備える。【選択図】図1
