ARMREST AND CHAIR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armrest having excellent aesthetic appearance and produced at a low cost.SOLUTION: An armrest 10 to be provided on a chair 1 includes: an armrest body 101 that includes a flat upper face 101A and a flat lower face 101B, a lightening hole 102 formed by horizontally lightening the thickness part between the upper face 101A and the lower face 101B, and a plurality of left/right ribs 103 provided inside the lightening hole 102 and extending in the horizontal direction; and a connection part 104 for connecting a frame 23 of the chair 1 or an armrest column, to the lower face 101B.
