PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can decompose ozone while avoiding ozone attack and preventing an increase in cost and reduce odor of a waste toner.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: charging parts that charge image carriers; cleaning parts that remove a toner accumulated on the surfaces of the image carriers; waste toner retaining parts that retain a waste toner removed by the cleaning parts; ozone recovery parts that recover ozone generated through a charging operation performed by the charging parts; and waste toner conveying parts that mix the waste toner removed by the cleaning parts and the ozone recovered by the ozone recovery parts and convey the waste toner mixed with the ozone to the waste toner retaining parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】オゾンアタックを回避しつつ、コストを嵩ませずに、オゾンを分解し、かつ、廃トナーの臭気を低減することが可能な画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】像担持体を帯電させる帯電部と、像担持体の表面に残留しているトナーを除去するクリーニング部と、クリーニング部により除去された廃トナーを貯留する廃トナー貯留部と、帯電部の帯電動作で発生したオゾンを回収するオゾン回収部と、クリーニング部により除去された廃トナーと、オゾン回収部により回収されたオゾンとを混合し、当該オゾンと混合された廃トナーを廃トナー貯留部に搬送する廃トナー搬送部と、を備える。【選択図】図３
