RASAGILINE FOR PARKINSON DISEASE MODERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods of reducing the rate of progression of Parkinson disease symptoms in an early stage Parkinson disease patient.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method of moderating Parkinson disease by periodically administering pharmaceutical composition comprising pharmaceutically effective amount of rasagiline or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt rasagiline to a patient to moderate disease. The method comprises reducing the rate of progression of Parkinson disease in an early stage Parkinson disease patient, delaying the need for symptomatic antiparkinsonian therapy, reducing the risk of a Parkinson disease patient requiring symptomatic anti-Parkinsonian therapy, and moderating the functional decline.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】初期パーキンソン病患者においてパーキンソン病の進行速度を低減する方法の提供。【解決手段】薬学的に効果的な量のラサギリンまたは薬学的に許容されるラサギリンの塩を含む医薬組成物を患者に定期的に投与し、疾患を緩和することによりパーキンソン病を緩和する方法。当該方法は、初期パーキンソン病患者のパーキンソン病の進行速度を低減すること、抗パーキンソン症治療の必要性を遅らせること、症候性抗パーキンソン治療を必要とするパーキンソン病患者のリスクを低減すること、および機能低下を緩和することとを含む方法。【選択図】なし
