In the formula (1), Ris a C1-C15 linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】本発明は、新規なメラニン産生抑制剤、及び該メラニン産生抑制剤を含有する美白用化粧料を提供することを課題とする。【課題を解決するための手段】下記一般式（１）に表される化合物及び／又はその幾何異性体は、メラニン産生抑制作用を有し、該メラニン産生抑制剤を含有する化粧料を提供することにより前記課題を解決する。（１）[但し、式中R１は、炭素数１〜１５の直鎖又は分岐の、飽和又は不飽和炭化水素基を表す。]【選択図】図１
