AQUEOUS INK COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink having such characteristics that even when the ink is written on a surface of glass or earthenware, the handwriting has sufficiently excellent properties of water resistance, warm water resistance and scratch resistance, and that even when the glass product or the earthenware is repeatedly washed, the handwriting sufficiently remains.SOLUTION: An ink composition for a non-permeable surface is provided, which contains ethylene glycol, further contains propylene glycol and/or diethylene glycol, and contains these glycols by 4.0 to 12.0 wt.% in the ink composition. The composition further contains a resin emulsion in such a manner that a resin solid content is included by 20 to 45 wt.% in the ink composition.
