CHARGING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aspect in which a charging member and a cleaning member is held with holding members common to those members, and maintain good assemblability of the charging member and cleaning member to the holding members without changing the lengths in the axial direction.SOLUTION: A charging device comprises: a charging member 2 that is rotated following a charging target body 11; a cleaning member 3 that cleans the charging member 2; a pair of holding members 4 that rotatably hold the charging member 2 and cleaning member 3 while maintaining the distance between two shafts; and an urging member 5 that urges the holding member 4 so as to press the charging member 2 against the charging target body 11. The pair of holding members 4 include bearing parts 6 and 7 that rotatably hold the shafts of the charging member 2 and cleaning member 3 at both ends; one holding member 4A forms an extension part 8 that extends toward the outside in the axial direction from a bearing part 6 (6A) of the charging member 2 in a bearing part 7 (7A) of the cleaning member 3, and forms a reception part 9 that temporarily receives a shank 3a of the cleaning member 3 at a portion adjacent to the entry of the bearing part 7 (7A) of the cleaning member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】帯電部材及び清掃部材を共通の保持部材で保持する態様において、帯電部材及び清掃部材の軸方向長を異ならせずに保持部材への組付性を良好に保つ。【解決手段】被帯電体１１に追従して回転する帯電部材２と、帯電部材２を清掃する清掃部材３と、帯電部材２及び清掃部材３の２軸間距離を保って回転可能に保持する対構成の保持部材４と、帯電部材２を被帯電体１１側に押し付けるように保持部材４を付勢する付勢部材５と、を備え、対構成の保持部材４は、帯電部材２及び清掃部材３の両端軸が回転可能に保持される軸受部６，７を有し、一方の保持部材４Ａは、清掃部材３の軸受部７（７Ａ）に帯電部材２の軸受部６（６Ａ）よりも軸方向外方側に向かって延長するように延びる延長部８を形成すると共に、清掃部材の軸受部７（７Ａ）の入口に隣接した箇所には清掃部材３の軸部３ａを一時的に受け止める受止部９を形成する。【選択図】図１
