COATED PAPER FOR PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated paper for printing which has sufficient whiteness and inking properties and is excellent in printing strength.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the coated paper for printing which has a coating layer containing a white pigment, adhesives, and a fluorescent brightener on at least one surface of a base paper mainly composed of pulp. The coated paper for printing is characterized in that: the coating amount of the coating layer is 1-5 g/min terms of solid content per side of the base paper; 5-35 mass% of the white pigment is kaolin; a polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of polymerization of 1,000-2,000 is contained as an adhesive in an amount of 4.5-11 mass% based on the white pigment; and the adhesives are contained in an amount of 20-40 mass% based on the white pigment.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】十分な白色度とインク着肉性を有し、印刷強度に優れる印刷用塗工紙を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明は、パルプを主成分とする基紙の少なくとも一方の面に、白色顔料と接着剤と蛍光増白剤とを含有する塗工層を有する印刷用塗工紙であって、前記塗工層の塗工量が基紙の片面あたり固形分換算で１〜５ｇ／ｍ２であり、前記白色顔料の５〜３５質量％がカオリンであり、前記白色顔料に対して接着剤として重合度が１０００〜２０００のポリビニルアルコールを４．５〜１１質量％含有し、前記白色顔料に対して接着剤を２０〜４０質量％含有する、ことを特徴とする印刷用塗工紙に関する。【選択図】なし
