PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which a print sheet can be surely and easily set and which can secure the smooth opening/closing operation of an opening/closing cover.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a top cover; an undercover; a cover member 103 which is provided so as to be openable/closable; a platen roller 111; a thermal line head; and a guide member 120 which forms an introduction path for guiding a print sheet to a facing portion between the platen roller 111 and the thermal line head. The surface on the introduction path side of the guide member 120 includes: a guide region which is brought into contact with the print sheet for guiding; and a guide rib part 170 which is provided so as to face at least one of both ends of an insertion port and protrudes to the introduction path side.
