PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a use ticket processing device capable of smoothly processing a use ticket.SOLUTION: A use ticket processing device in an embodiment includes a communication unit, an optical reading unit, and a control unit. The communication unit transmits a radio wave to perform radio communication with a radio communication unit included in a use ticket and to read information. The optical reading unit optically reads information from a display object displayed on the use ticket. The control unit has the communication unit start transmitting a radio wave if it determines that an object placed in front of the optical reading unit is the use ticket on the basis of the information read by the optical reading unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】利用券の処理を円滑に行うことができる利用券処理装置を提供することである。【解決手段】実施形態の利用券処理装置は、通信部と、光学読取部と、制御部とを持つ。前記通信部は、電波を発信することで、利用券が有する無線通信部と無線通信を行って情報を読み取る。前記光学読取部は、前記利用券に表示された表示オブジェクトから、情報を光学的に読み取る。前記制御部は、前記光学読取部により読み取られた情報に基づいて前記光学読取部に翳された物体が前記利用券であると判定された場合に、前記通信部に電波の発信を開始させる。【選択図】図４
